Brett’s just back from emceeing his 7th Fire NZ event held in the atmospheric surrounds of Shed 10 Auckland.
The event draws attendees from Australasia - fire engineers, fire fighters, architects, construction lawyers, designers, manufacturers and installers of life safety equipment and the government folk who lay down the law. Fire NZ also includes a substantial exhibition.
The whole shindig is manfiested by Fire Protection Association of New Zealand CEO Scott Lawson and Elaine Christy, FPA NZ’s Finance and Commercial Manager. Rarely have so few, done so much, for so many.
Brett’s work included emceeing the event over three days, chairing several panel discussions and the Gala Dinner and Awards. The feedback:
“He is getting better and better with every conference,” Christopher Mak - FPA NZ President
“Legend , kept the energy high, engaged well with the speakers, always had a question to keep it moving.” Jason Hill IFE president
“This year you delivered the event I needed it to be and made it all feel worthwhile. You stepped it up another level. I could go on but even your ego can only get so big, and I need something for next year.” Scott Lawson FPA NZ CEO.
Dozens of speakers included Commissioner Adam Thiel who heads the fire department of Philadelphia, USA, Jessica Pickett who spoke about diversity and inclusion within emergency management culture and Laura Andrews a Kiwi firefighter with a taste for antarctic adventures. Brett’ has also emceed a trio of Fire Australia events and is booked for the Gold Coast next year. Here’s also to Wellington in 2024.
